It's worth doing some research before booking your first appointment.

At Peter Tosh, you’re a patient first. Not a money tree. Our team takes the time to get to know you and your needs. We have around a dozen appointments a day, plus collections. You’re always welcome to walk-in and learn more about us. So there’s no feeling of being rushed. No taking a ticket and waiting in a long queue.

Unlike the large city centre stores, we don’t have sales targets or KPIs. We’re fully independent, and thrive by offering good, old-fashioned, personal care. On average, an eye test with us takes 40 minutes – about twice the time you’ll get on the High Street. And we’ll never lumber you with a clunky online booking system. That’s just not how we do things.

We’ve built a rapport with our patients, some of whom have been using us for over 25 years. That happens because of our honest support and guidance. We know their families, and they know us.

Our patients come from all over East Devon. Some of them spend time overseas in second homes as far afield as France and Morocco. But when they’re back in Topsham they pop by for a check-up. As lovely as the city is, they’re always grateful they’ve been spared a journey through the Exeter traffic.
