Reading causes discomfort for some of our patients. Especially with black text on white backgrounds, the words seem to move or blur. That means headaches, or a feeling that the eyes are being strained. Good news – we can help.
After an eye test, we’ll talk you through a screening, using coloured overlays and tools such as an intuitive colorimeter. We can see if specific tints improve your reading comfort. If they do, we’ll be able to make your reading easier and more straightforward. For youngsters, that can mean a step-change in their learning, schoolwork and confidence.
